I’m Ann. And when I first visited Dr. Listiak for neuropathy treatment, I had problems walking. And by walking I mean that I felt like I was not grounding. And I felt that I was not balanced either. I felt like maybe I was … floating. Anyway, after treatment, immediately I started to feel…. Every day I did exactly what Dr. Listiak told me to do…. and I found out that I got all my feeling back and I felt more energetic. The other day when I was walking, I had a little spring to my walk. So I’m just delighted. I’m the [kind of] person to look into what is neuropathy treatment …. It’s a continual journey of learning about my own body and what I need to keep it whole. So thank you Dr. Listiak, YOU WERE THERE FOR ME.
My name is Joseph. This is the end of my second week and I feel like I’ve made tremendous improvements. I was having trouble sleeping at night. I still get up twice a night, usually, to go to the bathroom. But going back to bed, I go right back to sleep again and sleep a good sleep. I was having problems with my feet, my legs, my back, my shoulders, my neck, and I must say that in every one of those areas there’s been tremendous improvement. My legs don’t bother me now, and my feet, very little. My chronic neck and shoulder pain are pretty much gone. I still have twinges now and again but I feel like I’ve made tremendous improvement in the two weeks I’ve been here. I’m looking forward to the rest of my time.
My name is May and I started treatment with Dr. Listiak. I have had problems because I am pre-diabetic. I have foot pain and back pain. I have been [coming here for] three weeks now and I [can] feel great improvements in my feet and back. A miracle seems to happen every day and I’m very happy with my treatment.
Good morning, my name is Jay. I’m here at Dr. Listiak’s for neuropathy treatment. I’ve had neuropathy for a couple of years from my knees down to my toes. I have a tingling, burning, itching sensation constantly. Sometimes it’s not as bad as it could be. But most times it’s worse than what I can really deal with. I heard about Dr. Listiak’s specialty in neuropathy and I came, we sat down, we spoke, and he explained the whole situation. I was very happy with what he had to say. I have been here six weeks and in my estimation, I’ve made remarkable progress. I have feeling from my knees down through my feet. Again, [this is] only after six weeks. It’s been a life changing situation for me. I feel better physically, mentally, emotionally. It’s really a total situation.
Hi, my name is Vicki. I came to Dr. Listiak a couple of weeks ago because I had foot pain and numbness. Now, after two weeks, my pain is subsiding and I feel much better.
My name is Polad and I’ve been coming here for four weeks… or this is my tenth session. Things seem to be getting better, particularly my right leg. I hope to see much more [progress] because my foot is the most problematic. It’s about sixty… forty to fifty percent better. The work on my back has made me a little bit supple. Let’s hope it gets better and better. Now, I’ll be leaving for my home town. But I hope to come back in maybe six months… eight months… we come every year normally. But, if it’s necessary I’ll come earlier and after a year we’ll come and see you again. Thank you.
(Tell me about your thigh. How long did you have a problem in your thigh?)
The last about two to three years I had this neuropathy and numbness in my right thigh. That seems to have gone, I hope it’s gone totally. I hope it’s not just psychological that I’m feeling better but I think it’s better. My right thigh [issues] have been eliminated or nearly eliminated. Maybe there’s ten or fifteen percent still left. That used to get numb and it used to be painful. It’s been like that the past three years but now it seems to be better.
My name is Elaine Carlson. Today I got out of bed and I didn’t have any low back pain. That’s the first time in a long time. So I was really happy about that.
(Yeah. Awesome. How long is a long time?)
At least six months.
(We’re excited for you. I’d jump up and down but the camera would move.)
Yes, I want you to know that I couldn’t sleep all night long. I had to get up and sit in my chair to get comfort from my neuropathy hands. But last night, I slept all night long. For how long? Nine hours. It was wonderful. And I didn’t have to get up and sleep in my chair.
-My name is Terri Yonemura. I came to Dr. Listiak because I was having two years of non-epileptic seizures. I’ve had to wear foot braces and I’ve spent two years in doctor’s offices, mainly. After one treatment for my chronic foot pain, I went home and was able to wiggle my toes for the first time in probably over a year. I don’t know what other people would think but I thought it was really exciting. It felt really good to… so I’m going to hope that I can eventually get out of my brace and walk normal and feel better.
-I’m Terri Yonemura and I’ve been with Dr. Listiak for about a week now. My whole office is buzzing about the change in my color and stability. I’m not limping as bad and I haven’t had a seizure in… I’ve only had one in the past week. Last night, and the night before, I slept through the night and woke up refreshed instead of waking up in pain. Not only do I feel great, my family is noticing it, and my whole work environment is going “what is going on?” I’m excited.
(That is fantastic, and before how many seizures did you used to have in a week?)
In a week, [I would have] about five or sometimes more.
(And you’ve only had one now.)
I’ve only had one, in the past week.
(Wow. And how long has it been since you’ve had a good night’s sleep?)
About two years.
(Wow. So this is wonderful.)
I’m excited. I can’t wait.
-Hi, I’m Terri Yonemura. I’ve been with Dr. Listiak for a few weeks now. As of tomorrow, I will have been two weeks without a seizure. Before that I was averaging about three to five per week. And then before meds I was having up to ten a day. I’m excited and I’m looking to wearing boots and not having [to wear] a foot brace.
-I’m Terri Yonemura and as of this weekend, I’ve been sixteen days seizure free. We’re analyzing whether or not I have a continued need to take my seizure meds. We’ve been tapering off and we’re almost to the point that I, as of this week, won’t be on any seizure meds whatsoever. I have nurses in my office who are commenting about how they’re fearing for me on a daily basis, looking at the shakiness and the skin tone, knowing that my overall health was going down, down, down. They’re so pleased with the progress that I’ve made in just a few short weeks.
I’m Richard, Terri’s husband. I can attest to the amount of progress she’s made in the last three weeks. More progress than anything she did with going to doctors of medicine for the last two years. It’s been terrific.
-I also wanted to mention that as of Friday, I took my foot brace off that I’ve been in for almost a year now. I went all weekend and today to work with no foot brace and no issues with stumbling or falling. My next long term goal is to be able to drive again. My husband would probably say it’d be cool because he doesn’t always want to have to go to the grocery store with me.
-Hi, my name is Terri Yonemura. This week I’ve noticed that the numbness I’ve had in my left thumb that I’ve had for almost two years now has almost completely dissipated. I woke up two years ago numb, from the top of my head down the left side. Everything came back except my thumb. It felt like a rubber band was tied around my thumb so it was really exciting for me this week to find that I’m getting [feeling back]. It feels like the rubber band has been cut off. Also, as a child, I had numerous issues with ingrown toenails. [It was] even to the point that the doctors said I had gangrene running up the bottom of my foot. I had numerous surgeries on my left toenail and it had been completely removed, the bone scraped for no re-growth. But I’ve noticed just in the last week that, right in the dead center, I’m getting a little bit of re-growth. I feel like everything is healing and starting to repair itself. I’m all excited.
-I’m Terri Yonemura. As of this past Saturday I’ve been seizure free for over four weeks, since I’ve been with Dr. Listiak. An added bonus was that I fought the dreaded flue last week but it kept me down very minimally. As of Saturday, I also had a sense of smell, which I haven’t had in well over a year or possibly in a year and a half. [Even before then] it was very sporadic. I got to smell some herbal tea today and it smelled really good.
Hi, my name is Shelli and I’ve been a patient with Dr. Listiak for almost a month now for my chronic upper back pain and arm pain. He is absolutely amazing and has changed my life completely. When I came for my first appointment with him I was in tears, I couldn’t even talk because I was so depressed. I took at least six pain pills everyday, of prescription high level Percocet. Ten milligrams, six of them a day. Which is quite a lot. I no longer take pain pills, I got off of them. It wasn’t fun to get off of them but I am so happy now. I have no pain, and if I do it’s slight and I know it’s going to get better and better. I’m completely off of the pain pills and I couldn’t live my life without them before. I would wake up and take them, in the afternoon I’d take them, in the night I’d take them. I’m not taking them anymore, and I’m so excited. I feel like my life has just changed 360 degrees since I started seeing Dr. Listiak. He is a God-send, and he is an angel, and he has saved my life. I am one hundred percent grateful for him. He’s amazing and you need to see him. Thank you!
I’m Hedy, and I came here because I have neuropathy. My feet were numb, the left one more so than the right. [I had] a lot of problems, I couldn’t stand up, I couldn’t walk. I have a walker that I use once in a while and I walk with a cane most of the time. All the time actually, when I do walk. [Before], my left foot was completely numb and [now] it is a hundred percent better. I don’t have the pain I used to, [when I would] go to sleep. As soon as I would lie down, I had this extreme pain in my feet and I would scream into my pillow every night. That has completely stopped and I don’t have that anymore. I still have a little bit of numbness in my left foot but the neuropathy isn’t at all like it had been when I first started coming here.
Hi, I’m Monique. I’ve been coming to Dr. Listiak for a couple of weeks now. I came with chronic low back pain and tremendous pain in the sacroiliac and the coccyx area. After a few treatments, I’m able to sleep better and I have more energy in the morning. I’m feeling virtually pain free. At this point, I’m excited to get further treatment and to continue with the progress.
(Great. Thank you. And is there anything you haven’t been able to do in a while?)
I actually went bike riding for the first time, after four or five years, with my daughter. I went about six miles.
I was a little worried. But now, the day after having done it, I’m still pain free.
Okay, my name is Beatrice. I haven’t been able to play guitar for about three years, maybe more, because of stiffness in my fingers. And this week I was able to play the guitar again. Thank you Dr. Listiak.
My name is Edna. I haven’t been able to sleep through the night for years [but] last night I slept for five hours straight. I got up, went to the bathroom, went back to bed and slept for four more hours. It was the first time in years that I’ve done that.
(Ah, that’s fantastic. And what kind of problem do you have Edna?)
I have peripheral neuropathy. I also have essential tremor but I’m in the Doctor’s office for neuropathy. And as I say, it’s the first time in years that I haven’t gotten up three or four times a night.
Hi, my name’s Shirley and this is my third adjustment. After my second adjustment my left ear, which has been ringing for at least 25 years, actually stopped. For the first time, my ear ringing stopped and I heard quiet.
