Can Peripheral Neuropathy Treatment Provide Pain Relief For Chronic Neuropathy in Feet?
Marilyn Vogel – Cardiff – Fiery Sharp Pains in Feet
Hi, I’m Marilyn Vogel-Malmuth. I was fortunate enough to find Dr. Listiak for my peripheral neuropathy problem. I had been feeling very sharp pains in my feet but thankfully it hadn’t hit my hands. My feet were fiery red and just felt like they were on fire. I couldn’t stand it, and every night for the last year or two my husband has had to massage my feet.
I’m so excited today to tell Dr. Listiak that for four days in a row, I have felt no pain whatsoever. I’m just so excited about it.
Can Neuropathy Be Reversed? Feet Tingling, Sleep and Energy Problems?
Carl Johnson – Encinitas – Feet Tingling, Sleep and Energy Problems
Hello my name is Carl Johnson. I’ve been seeing Dr. Listiak for a couple of months now. Just last night, I found myself getting to sleep, falling asleep, and staying asleep for five hours. That’s the second time in the last five years, at least, that I’ve been able to sleep for five hours without waking up. The last time was about a month ago after I’d seen Dr. Listiak.
I’ve also noticed a lot less tingling in my feet. I’ve got more of a sensation of normalness in my feet which was a really welcome feeling. So between that and a wellness, a whole wellness about my whole body, I feel like I have more energy.
I get emotional about that because when you get run down and tired and you get old running life and all of a sudden something perks back up again, it’s really nice. So I’m really thankful for what’s come about here. I’m really looking forward to what’s going to happen through the rest of my therapy. So, I thank you Dr. Listiak and I want to keep on doing what you have me doing. Keep on keeping on.

I’m very happy with the results we’ve had over the last six weeks. My blood pressure has come down and my blood sugar is down to normal. I’ve lost fifteen pounds in the last six weeks due to the diet. I have some more feeling in my legs and hands and I’m very pleased with the progress the Dr. is making.
(Bob that’s fantastic, can you give me an idea of what your blood sugar used to be and what they are now?)
My blood sugars used to be about 180-225, this morning it was down to 110. At night time before I go to bed, I take it also and it’s usually about 150 where it used to be up in 190-200 range.
(Wow that is fantastic)
So between the diet and what the doctor has done to my spine, I’m tickled.

Can a Neuropathy Doctor help Chemotherapy Induced Peripheral Neuropathy?

Hi, I’m Diane Tye and I’ve been coming to Dr. Listiak for about two weeks now. I was diagnosed with chemo induced neuropathy in my feet and a little bit in my fingers. It’s been about two weeks of treatment now and I just wanted to tell the Doctor, this morning, that I’m excited because in the last day or so I’ve felt a lessening of my symptoms. Not nearly the feeling I was having when it was coming up my ankles. It seems like it’s regressing.
There’s times when I don’t feel my feet neuropathy, which is good. When you have neuropathy you’re aware of your feet all the time, so I’m excited about it. It’s only been two weeks and I have a couple weeks to go. It’s really looking good and I’m very grateful.
(4 weeks later)
I came in to see Dr. Listiak for my peripheral neuropathy from chemo. My last chemo was maybe four months ago and I discovered after the last chemo that I had peripheral neuropathy. I was waiting several months and it just kept getting worse. I saw his ad and thought “Okay, I’ll try being a little proactive and go in for my neuropathy.” It has been very helpful.
It’s been about six weeks, and I’m feeling less peripheral neuropathy than I did before. Hardly anything in my hands which had been bothering me a little too, so that appears to be gone. And I do have a lot of energy, I feel like I’ve learned a lot and I’m taking better care of myself. Overall, I feel better and I feel like my peripheral neuropathy is not coming on stronger.
I feel like it’s going away. So that’s how I feel. I’m not a hundred percent but I’d say my feet are probably 50% better than I when I came in here, which is awesome, and my hands don’t have neuropathy anymore.

What About Other Neurological Symptoms and Weakness?
Terri Yonemura – December 28th, 2012 – Carlsbad – Seizures, Foot Brace, Toenail Issues, Walking Problems, Pale Countenance, Reduced Immune System, No Sense of Smell
My name is Terri Yonemura. I came to Dr. Listiak because I was having two years of non-epileptic seizures. I’ve had to wear foot braces and I’ve spent two years in doctor’s offices, mainly. After one treatment last night, I went home and was able to wiggle my toes for the first time in probably over a year. It was really exciting and it felt really good, too. So I’m going to hope that I can eventually get out of my brace and walk normally and feel better again.
(6 days later – January 3rd, 2013)
I’ve been with Dr. Listiak for about a week now. My whole office is buzzing about the change in my color and stability. I’m not limping as bad and I have had only one seizure in the past week. Last night, and the night before, I slept through the night and woke up refreshed instead of waking up in pain. Not only do I feel great but my family is noticing it and my whole work environment is going “what is going on?” I’m excited.
(That is fantastic. Before, how many seizures did you have in a week?)
In a week, I would have about five or sometimes more.
(And you’ve only had one now.)
I’ve only had one, in the past week.
(Wow. And how long has it been since you’ve had a good night’s sleep?)
About two years.
(Wow. So this is wonderful.)
I’m excited. I can’t wait.
(8 days later – January 11th, 2013)
I’ve been with Dr. Listiak for a few weeks now. As of tomorrow, I will have gone two weeks without a seizure. Before meds, I was having up to ten a day. With meds, I was averaging about three to five per week. I’m excited and I’m looking forward to wearing boots and not having to wear a foot brace.
(3 days later – January 14th, 2013)
As of this weekend, I’ve been sixteen days seizure free. My husband and I have been analyzing whether or not I have a continued need to take my seizure meds. I’ve been tapering off and I’m almost to the point that, as of this week, I won’t be on any seizure meds whatsoever. I have nurses in my office who are commenting about how before they were fearing for me on a daily basis, looking at my shakiness and skin tone, knowing that my overall health was going down, down, down. They’re so pleased with the progress that I’ve made in just a few short weeks.
I’m Richard, Terri’s husband. I can attest to the amount of progress she’s made in the last three weeks. More progress than anything she did with going to other doctors for the last two years. It’s been terrific.
I, Terri, also wanted to mention that as of Friday, I took the foot brace off that I’ve been in for almost a year. I went all weekend and today to work with no foot brace and no issues with stumbling or falling. My next long term goal is to be able to drive again. My husband would probably say it would be cool because he doesn’t always want to have to go to the grocery store with me.
(4 days later – January 18th, 2013)
This week I noticed that the numbness I have had in my left thumb for almost two years has almost completely dissipated. I woke up two years ago numb from the top of my head down the left side. Everything came back except my thumb. It felt like a rubber band was tied around my thumb. It was really exciting for me this week to find that I’m getting feeling back. It feels like the rubber band has been cut off.
Also, as a child, I had numerous issues with ingrown toenails. It was even to the point that the doctors said that I had gangrene running up the bottom of my foot. I had numerous surgeries on my left toenail and the toenail had been completely removed and the bone scraped to prevent re-growth. But I’ve noticed just in the last week that, right in the dead center, I’m getting a little bit of re-growth of my toenail. I feel like everything is healing and starting to repair itself. I’m all excited.
(10 days later – January 28th, 2013)
As of this past Saturday, I’ve been seizure free for over four weeks since I’ve been with Dr. Listiak. An added bonus was that I fought the dreaded flu last week but it kept me down very minimally. As of Saturday, I have also regained a sense of smell. I haven’t been able to smell things in well over a year, possibly a year and a half. Even before then, my ability to smell was very sporadic. Today, I got to smell some herbal tea and it smelled really good.
