Hi, my name is Vicki. I came to Dr. Listiak a couple of weeks ago because I had foot pain and numbness. Now, after two weeks, my pain is subsiding and I feel much better.
Neuropathy – Polad – The Neuropathy is Getting Better – Encinitas CA
My name is Polad and I’ve been coming here for four weeks… or this is my tenth session. Things seem to be getting better, particularly my right leg. I hope to see much more [progress] because my foot is the most problematic. It’s about sixty… forty to fifty percent better. The work on my back has made me a little bit supple. Let’s hope it gets better and better. Now, I’ll be leaving for my home town. But I hope to come back in maybe six months… eight months… we come every year normally. But, if it’s necessary I’ll come earlier and after a year we’ll come and see you again. Thank you.
(Tell me about your thigh. How long did you have a problem in your thigh?)
The last about two to three years I had this neuropathy and numbness in my right thigh. That seems to have gone, I hope it’s gone totally. I hope it’s not just psychological that I’m feeling better but I think it’s better. My right thigh [issues] have been eliminated or nearly eliminated. Maybe there’s ten or fifteen percent still left. That used to get numb and it used to be painful. It’s been like that the past three years but now it seems to be better.
Low Back Pain – Elaine – I Don’t Have Pain Anymore – Oceanside CA
My name is Elaine Carlson. Today I got out of bed and I didn’t have any low back pain. That’s the first time in a long time. So I was really happy about that.
(Yeah. Awesome. How long is a long time?)
At least six months.
(We’re excited for you. I’d jump up and down but the camera would move.)
Neuropathy Hands – Goldyn – Sleep All Night – Encinitas CA
Yes, I want you to know that I couldn’t sleep all night long. I had to get up and sit in my chair to get comfort from my neuropathy hands. But last night, I slept all night long. For how long? Nine hours. It was wonderful. And I didn’t have to get up and sleep in my chair.
Chronic Foot Pain – Terri – I Took My Foot Brace Off – Carlsbad CA
-My name is Terri Yonemura. I came to Dr. Listiak because I was having two years of non-epileptic seizures. I’ve had to wear foot braces and I’ve spent two years in doctor’s offices, mainly. After one treatment for my chronic foot pain, I went home and was able to wiggle my toes for the first time in probably over a year. I don’t know what other people would think but I thought it was really exciting. It felt really good to… so I’m going to hope that I can eventually get out of my brace and walk normal and feel better.
-I’m Terri Yonemura and I’ve been with Dr. Listiak for about a week now. My whole office is buzzing about the change in my color and stability. I’m not limping as bad and I haven’t had a seizure in… I’ve only had one in the past week. Last night, and the night before, I slept through the night and woke up refreshed instead of waking up in pain. Not only do I feel great, my family is noticing it, and my whole work environment is going “what is going on?” I’m excited.
(That is fantastic, and before how many seizures did you used to have in a week?)
In a week, [I would have] about five or sometimes more.
(And you’ve only had one now.)
I’ve only had one, in the past week.
(Wow. And how long has it been since you’ve had a good night’s sleep?)
About two years.
(Wow. So this is wonderful.)
I’m excited. I can’t wait.
-Hi, I’m Terri Yonemura. I’ve been with Dr. Listiak for a few weeks now. As of tomorrow, I will have been two weeks without a seizure. Before that I was averaging about three to five per week. And then before meds I was having up to ten a day. I’m excited and I’m looking to wearing boots and not having [to wear] a foot brace.
-I’m Terri Yonemura and as of this weekend, I’ve been sixteen days seizure free. We’re analyzing whether or not I have a continued need to take my seizure meds. We’ve been tapering off and we’re almost to the point that I, as of this week, won’t be on any seizure meds whatsoever. I have nurses in my office who are commenting about how they’re fearing for me on a daily basis, looking at the shakiness and the skin tone, knowing that my overall health was going down, down, down. They’re so pleased with the progress that I’ve made in just a few short weeks.
I’m Richard, Terri’s husband. I can attest to the amount of progress she’s made in the last three weeks. More progress than anything she did with going to doctors of medicine for the last two years. It’s been terrific.
-I also wanted to mention that as of Friday, I took my foot brace off that I’ve been in for almost a year now. I went all weekend and today to work with no foot brace and no issues with stumbling or falling. My next long term goal is to be able to drive again. My husband would probably say it’d be cool because he doesn’t always want to have to go to the grocery store with me.
-Hi, my name is Terri Yonemura. This week I’ve noticed that the numbness I’ve had in my left thumb that I’ve had for almost two years now has almost completely dissipated. I woke up two years ago numb, from the top of my head down the left side. Everything came back except my thumb. It felt like a rubber band was tied around my thumb so it was really exciting for me this week to find that I’m getting [feeling back]. It feels like the rubber band has been cut off. Also, as a child, I had numerous issues with ingrown toenails. [It was] even to the point that the doctors said I had gangrene running up the bottom of my foot. I had numerous surgeries on my left toenail and it had been completely removed, the bone scraped for no re-growth. But I’ve noticed just in the last week that, right in the dead center, I’m getting a little bit of re-growth. I feel like everything is healing and starting to repair itself. I’m all excited.
-I’m Terri Yonemura. As of this past Saturday I’ve been seizure free for over four weeks, since I’ve been with Dr. Listiak. An added bonus was that I fought the dreaded flue last week but it kept me down very minimally. As of Saturday, I also had a sense of smell, which I haven’t had in well over a year or possibly in a year and a half. [Even before then] it was very sporadic. I got to smell some herbal tea today and it smelled really good.
Chronic Upper Back Pain – Shelli – Dr. Listiak Saved My Life – Leucadia CA
Hi, my name is Shelli and I’ve been a patient with Dr. Listiak for almost a month now for my chronic upper back pain and arm pain. He is absolutely amazing and has changed my life completely. When I came for my first appointment with him I was in tears, I couldn’t even talk because I was so depressed. I took at least six pain pills everyday, of prescription high level Percocet. Ten milligrams, six of them a day. Which is quite a lot. I no longer take pain pills, I got off of them. It wasn’t fun to get off of them but I am so happy now. I have no pain, and if I do it’s slight and I know it’s going to get better and better. I’m completely off of the pain pills and I couldn’t live my life without them before. I would wake up and take them, in the afternoon I’d take them, in the night I’d take them. I’m not taking them anymore, and I’m so excited. I feel like my life has just changed 360 degrees since I started seeing Dr. Listiak. He is a God-send, and he is an angel, and he has saved my life. I am one hundred percent grateful for him. He’s amazing and you need to see him. Thank you!
Neuropathy – Hedy – 100 Percent Better – San Diego CA
I’m Hedy, and I came here because I have neuropathy. My feet were numb, the left one more so than the right. [I had] a lot of problems, I couldn’t stand up, I couldn’t walk. I have a walker that I use once in a while and I walk with a cane most of the time. All the time actually, when I do walk. [Before], my left foot was completely numb and [now] it is a hundred percent better. I don’t have the pain I used to, [when I would] go to sleep. As soon as I would lie down, I had this extreme pain in my feet and I would scream into my pillow every night. That has completely stopped and I don’t have that anymore. I still have a little bit of numbness in my left foot but the neuropathy isn’t at all like it had been when I first started coming here.
Chronic Low Back Pain – Monique – Virtually Pain Free – San Diego CA
Hi, I’m Monique. I’ve been coming to Dr. Listiak for a couple of weeks now. I came with chronic low back pain and tremendous pain in the sacroiliac and the coccyx area. After a few treatments, I’m able to sleep better and I have more energy in the morning. I’m feeling virtually pain free. At this point, I’m excited to get further treatment and to continue with the progress.
(Great. Thank you. And is there anything you haven’t been able to do in a while?)
I actually went bike riding for the first time, after four or five years, with my daughter. I went about six miles.
(That’s awesome.)
I was a little worried. But now, the day after having done it, I’m still pain free.
Stiffness In My Fingers – Beatrice – I Was Able To Play Guitar Again – Carlsbad CA

Peripheral Neuropathy – Edna – Sleep Through The Night – Encinitas CA
My name is Edna. I haven’t been able to sleep through the night for years [but] last night I slept for five hours straight. I got up, went to the bathroom, went back to bed and slept for four more hours. It was the first time in years that I’ve done that.
(Ah, that’s fantastic. And what kind of problem do you have Edna?)
I have peripheral neuropathy. I also have essential tremor but I’m in the Doctor’s office for neuropathy. And as I say, it’s the first time in years that I haven’t gotten up three or four times a night.
Ear Ringing – Shirley – It Actually Stopped – Encinitas CA

Chronic Lower Back Pain – Steve – Tremendous Progress – Encinitas CA
I’m Steve and I’ve been a patient here for two weeks. And after two weeks, I feel like I’m a new man. I was definitely in serious chronic lower back pain. Probably on an eight or nine out of ten, even taking anti-inflammatory [medications]. But now I have very infrequent pain. [I’m] walking much better and making a tremendous amount of progress in just two weeks time. Thank you Dr. Listiak, it’s been a great first two weeks with you.
Neuropathy Treatment – Carl – Less Tingling – Encinitas CA
Hello my name is Carl. I’ve been seeing Dr. Listiak for a couple of months now. Just last night, I found myself getting to sleep, falling asleep, and staying asleep for five hours. That’s the second time in the last five years, at least, that I’ve been able to sleep for five hours without waking up. The last time was about a month ago after I’d seen Dr. Listiak. I’ve also noticed a lot less tingling in my feet. I’ve got more of a sensation of normalness in my feet which was a really welcome feeling. So between that and a wellness, a whole wellness about my whole body, I feel like I have more energy. I get emotional about that because when you get run down and tired and you get old running life…. And all of a sudden something perks back up again. It’s really nice and so I’m really thankful for what’s come about here. I’m really looking forward to what’s going to happen through the rest of [my] neuropathy treatment . So, I thank you Dr. Listiak ( for my neuropathy treatment ) and I want to keep on doing what you have me doing. Keep on keeping on.
Diabetic Neuropathy – John – Getting Feeling Back – Carlsbad CA
My name is John and I’ve been a diabetic neuropathy patient of Dr. Listiak’s now for six weeks. I’m a type two diabetic and I had severe neuropathic damage in my feet. I’ve come a long way since I started. I’m starting to get feeling back in my feet and I’m working with supplements, adjustments, and the exercises that Dr. Listiak has taught me. [I also have] a rebuilder device that helps treat neuropathic degeneration. I’m really excited. I’m on my way back.
Chiropractic Work – Cole – I Can Just Live – Encinitas CA
Hi, I’m Cole Miller. The past five or six years I’ve been focused, mainly, on maintaining my health. Now that I’m healthy, I’ve realized that I can move on [and do] other things, besides worrying about my health. That’s the beauty of chiropractic work. Before, when I was unhealthy, numerous things like school, academics, sports, [and my] social life were being affected. Now that I’m healthier I don’t have to worry about those things anymore. I can just live.
